In 2019, I redesigned my business card to create something that more closely aligned with the evolution of my work. I wanted to use this as an opportunity to show my philosophy as a designer. I believe simple lines and bold colors can impact human feeling and decision-making, conveying meaning quickly and effectively.
While working digitally, I cut and arranged shapes and words to find a design that was both compelling and functional. I used transparent shapes and overlapping lines to emphasize depth and detail.
I ordered these cards online through Moo and was very happy with the quality and colors. I’m most proud of my work when it represents a story. In this case, it was the story of myself and that felt particularly meaningful. I think I will continue to allow myself to change as I grow and develop. For me, that’s part of what being an artist, and a human, is all about.
